Are you in need of a coat to keep warm this winter? Each year, we distribute hundreds of coats at no cost to our neighbors.
This winter, we will distribute coats during three events:
A photo ID for all family members receiving a coat is required.
Thanksgiving is a time to gather with loved ones around the dinner table, sharing our gratitude and joy with those who mean the most. To help with this holiday tradition, St. Vincent de Paul distributes Thanksgiving food boxes, each including a turkey and all the fixings.
Any neighbor in need is eligible to participate in the Thanksgiving Food Distribution. There is no need to sign up in advance, although a photo ID is required on the day of the distribution, and neighbors will be asked to complete a TEFAP form to receive food.
Our 2022 Thanksgiving Food Distribution will take place on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 9am at the Neyer Outreach Center (1146 Bank Street). The distribution will begin at 9 a.m. continue until supply is exhausted.
St. Vincent de Paul offers several Christmas gift programs for families in need. Families are invited to apply for these programs. Applying does not guarantee a spot in one of our programs, and participants are chosen based on their application, not on a first-come, first-served basis. You are eligible to receive assistance every other year.
Our holiday request form and waitlist are now closed for the 2022 Christmas holiday.
Presents under the tree is often the highlight of Christmas day, but the Christmas dinner with family can’t be forgotten, and to help St. Vincent de Paul hands out everything needed for a good meal—fresh produce, all the fixings, plus a ham or a turkey.
The final day for our 2022 Christmas Food Distribution will be Saturday, December 17. Please bring your photo ID; you will also be asked to complete a TEFAP form.
Program update – 7/7/22
Applications for A/C units for the 2022 summer are now closed. Fans are still available on a walkup basis at our Neyer Outreach Center while supplies last.
To qualify to receive an AC, neighbors must be 65-years-old or older or have a medical need. Applications to receive an AC unit are available online at SVDPcincinnati.org/AC. Completing an application does not guarantee receipt of an AC, as supplies are limited. There is a limit of one air conditioner per household, and households are eligible to receive an air conditioner once every five years. Program staff will review applications and contact eligible neighbors to arrange for AC pickup. A photo ID is required.
Box fans are still being distributed on a walk-up basis at our Neyer Outreach Center (1146 Bank Street) during normal operating hours. Recipients must provide a photo ID and can only receive one fan every other year. Limit of one fan per household.
Please note that households may receive either an AC or a fan, but not both.
