Donate
Donating Medication
Over 85% of prescriptions filled by the SVDP Charitable Pharmacy are from donated sources, allowing us to provide a consistent supply of medications for our neighbors in need.
As of June 2023, the SVDP Charitable Pharmacy is able to accept donations of unused, non-expired insulin, inhalers and blood thinners (e.g. Eliquis, Xarelto). At this time, the Charitable Pharmacy is not accepting donations of other types of medications.
Donations must be given to a licensed member of SVDP Pharmacy staff in person by the owner of the medication or the owner’s caregiver. The owner of the medication is the person whose name is on the original Rx label.
All medication donations must be made at SVDP’s Neyer Outreach Center, located at 1146 Bank Street, Cincinnati, OH 45214. Please check in with the front desk and allow at least 15 minutes to meet with Pharmacy staff to complete donation paperwork.
For questions or more details, please call 513-562-8841, ext. 963.
Physician offices, pharmacies and wholesalers – We are in need of donations of sample medication from physician offices, and pharmaceuticals from long-term care pharmacies. For more information about donating drug samples from a physician’s office, please click here.
