Get Involved with the Charitable Pharmacy

How You Can Help

Volunteer

  • Individuals – Volunteers help sort medications, certify patients and assist in patient care.
  • Physician offices, pharmacies and wholesalers – Donate medicine. More than 90 percent of our medications are from donated sources, allowing us to provide a consistent supply of medications.
  • Volunteer Pharmacists – Licensed pharmacists can earn Continuing Education Units by volunteering. Duties include filling prescriptions or picking up samples at physician offices. Volunteer pharmacists work side-by-side with our staff pharmacists. For more information, contact Lydia Bailey  at 513-562-8841, ext. 963, or lbailey@svdpcincinnati.org.
  • Volunteer Advocates. – Volunteer advocates go through applications of our neighbors seeking help from the pharmacy and help certify them for assistance. Knowledge of the medical field is helpful but not necessary. Volunteers are trained and work side-by-side with our staff patient-advocate. For more information, please contact Lydia Bailey at 513-562-8841, ext. 963, or lbailey@svdpcincinnati.org.

The Charitable Pharmacy is currently accepting financial donations, donations of sample medication from physician offices, and pharmaceuticals from long-term care pharmacies. For more information about donating drug samples from a physician’s office, click here.
