St. Vincent de Paul receives many requests for help from parents who cannot afford beds for their children; their kids may be sleeping on an air mattress, a couch or even on the floor.
Each summer, Morris Furniture, Ashley, St. Vincent de Paul and WCPO Channel 9 have partner to help address the need for beds in Greater Cincinnati and ensure local children have a safe, comfortable place to sleep each night.

This year, Hope to Dream will surprise 75 local children with a bed of their own. In addition to the twin bed set, children also receive other items like stuffed animals, gift cards, back to school supplies and personal care items donated from event partners. This event includes games for the kids and their families, all leading up to a big reveal of the beds. Volunteers then follow families home to help deliver the beds.
How You Can Help
On August 23, WCPO will host a phone-a-thon to help increase awareness and raise the funds needed to provide more beds for neighbors in need. A donation of just $175 can provide a bed, complete with box springs, frame and mattress. During the telethon, viewers can call 513-719-4929 to provide a bed to a child who needs one.
