Catholic Schools Week

St. Vincent Partners with Catholic Schools

Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States that gives schools the chance to highlight the wide variety of values that make Catholic education different, including the emphasis of giving to those who are less fortunate. For several decades, St. Vincent de Paul has partnered with numerous Catholic Schools during the week—which starts the last Sunday in January—to help our neighbors in need by collecting essential items like food and personal care items.

Host a Drive at your School

St. Vincent de Paul relies on donations like yours to continue our mission. Each and every drive counts! By hosting a drive during Catholic Schools Week, schools help families in Cincinnati who struggle to afford life’s most basic needs, while providing an opportunity for their students to practice Christian charity.

For Catholic Schools Week 2023, SVDP is asking schools to collect items for our Catino Choice Food Pantry. Specifically, we are asking schools to collect the following items:

  • Grades K-5: non-perishable food items
  • Grades 6-8: Spices
  • Grades 9-12: Laundry and cleaning supplies and personal care items
