How we use our Resources

Every Donation Counts

St. Vincent de Paul relies on the generosity of people like you to make its work possible.  The majority of St. Vincent de Paul’s funding comes from individuals. St. Vincent de Paul is not funded by  the Catholic Ministries Appeal, the Archbishop’s Fund, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati or the United Way of Greater Cincinnati.  Without your support, we simply would not be able to provide emergency assistance and basic necessities to more than 120,000 people in need each year throughout Cincinnati.

Uses of Support

Affirmation of our stewardship

St. Vincent de Paul has received top-level recognition from:

Charity Navigator, 4-star rating: This top rating is awarded for demonstrating strong financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency.  St. Vincent de Paul has received this rating six consecutive years; only 9% of non-profits evaluated by Charity Navigator have maintained this rating for six consecutive years.

Guidestar, Platinum Seal of Transparency: This is the highest level of recognition, awarded for St. Vincent de Paul’s commitment to transparency.

The Better Business Bureau, accredited charity:  St. Vincent de Paul meets all 20 of the BBB Standards for Charity Accountability based on a review of information and materials provided by the organization.

The Better Business Bureau also selected St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati to receive the prestigious Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics in 2008 in the large Non-Profit category.
