St. Vincent De Paul Concludes Annual Fan And Air Conditioner Drive
St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati concluded its 16th annual summer fan and air conditioner drive in an effort to provide Greater Cincinnati neighbors in need with proper cooling during the hottest days of the summer.
In partnership with Huntington Bank, WCPO - 9 On Your Side, and Braun Heating & Air Conditioning, St. Vincent de Paul raised over $44,000 from individuals in the community and distributed 350 air conditioners and 566 fans to neighbors in need.
“We helped over 800 families this summer thanks to the generosity of our local neighbors and community partners,” said Mike Dunn, Executive Director of St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati. “Many of the neighbors we serve have children or are elderly with chronic health conditions. Having a fan or air conditioner is often the difference between living comfortably and a visit to the emergency room.”
The fans and air conditioners were distributed throughout the summer by St. Vincent de Paul neighborhood volunteers and outreach centers. People across Greater Cincinnati were asked to donate new fans and air conditioners at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores or make a monetary donation through the St. Vincent de Paul website or through Huntington Bank.
