Are you ready to serve your neighbors in need?

"We should assist the poor in every way and do it by ourselves and by enlisting the help of others…
To do this is to preach the gospel by words and by work."

— St. Vincent de Paul

Thank you for your interest in Vincentian Volunteers of Cincinnati (VVC).

About VVC: The VVC program invites young adults ages 21-30 into full-time direct service with people living on the margins, through the work of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Cincinnati. VVC provides young professionals an opportunity to live in faith, grow in friendship, and serve in solidarity by giving deeply of themselves to their neighbors in need.

As a Vincentian Volunteer, you will live in community with 4-6 other Volunteers in a home in the West End neighborhood of Cincinnati, within walking distance from our Outreach Center. You will serve full-time at SVDP--working in social services, community relations, the charitable pharmacy, the choice food pantry, or our service learning center--participate in a parish-based SVDP Conference, and have regular opportunities for retreat, prayer, and reflection.

Application Information: We accept applications on a rolling basis with priority given to those postmarked by March 31. Interviews begin in February as completed applications are received. Applications are accepted through July 1 or until all placements are filled, and final selection of Volunteers is contingent on background screening. VVC runs from late August 2017 through late July 2018.

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to being in conversation with you about the program and your interest.
