RetroFittings, a unique fashion show and fundraising event from St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati (SVDP) and the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), will return to Cincinnati Music Hall this October. This will be the first time the fashion show will return to the stage since 2019.

WHAT: RetroFittings, presented by Protective

WHEN: Thursday, October 20, 6:00 PM

WHERE: Cincinnati Music Hall, 1241 Elm Street

WHY: Proceeds support the programs of St. Vincent de Paul, helping neighbors in need

Tickets are available starting Thursday, September 15th at RetroFittings.org.

As Cincinnati’s own Project Runway, RetroFittings features the original designs of University of Cincinnati DAAP students. Students are given a limited budget to shop from St. Vincent de Paul’s eight Greater Cincinnati thrift stores, and then transform thrifted items into runway fashion. Designs are modeled in front of a crowd of more than 400 people, each highlighting the students’ creativity and ingenuity. Hair and make-up styles are provided by Paul Mitchell The School Cincinnati.

RetroFittings will also include boutique shopping, featuring trendy items curated from SVDP thrift stores, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a raffle, silent and live auctions and a fundraising program.

Proceeds from RetroFittings will benefit SVDP’s efforts to provide basic necessities to Greater Cincinnati neighbors as one of the region’s largest providers of emergency assistance. The Presenting Sponsor of the event is Protective Life Corporation.
