Neyer Outreach Center Open for Walk-In Services

***Update: Starting Saturday, August 7, masks are required for all individuals inside all St. Vincent de Paul facilities, regardless of vaccination status.***

 

The Neyer Outreach Center is located at 1146 Bank Street, Cincinnati, OH 45214. Services are provided to neighbors who do not live in a parish-based Conference area. You can find a list of Conferences here. If you are not sure if you live in a Conference area, call 513-421-0602 before visiting.

 

The Neyer Outreach Center is open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm and Saturday 8:00am to noon.

SOCIAL SERVICES

A photo ID and verification of household members are required for the following:

Clothing Vouchers: Vouchers are based on need. Neighbors may receive one voucher to a St. Vincent de Paul thrift store once every six months.

Furniture and Bed Vouchers: Applications are taken daily in person or by phone at 513-421-0602. Vouchers are based on need.

Rent and Utility Assistance: Neighbors can apply for assistance to help pay for rent or utility bills in person or by phone at 513-421-0602. Assistance may be provided once every 12 months.

Catino Choice Food Pantry: The pantry at the Neyer Outreach Center provides the opportunity to shop for food to help serve healthy meals at home along with personal and home care items.
Qualifying residents from the zip codes 45202, 45203, 45205, 45214, 45219, 45220, 45225, 45229 or 45232 are eligible for pantry services once per month. Those living outside of these zip codes should call 513-421-0602 to determine eligibility.

 

CHARITABLE PHARMACY

The Charitable Pharmacy provides free prescription medications and health services to neighbors in need across Hamilton, Butler, Warren and Clermont counties. Clinical services include primary care, comprehensive medication management, health screenings, vaccinations, diabetes education and tobacco cessation counseling. Pharmacy patients must complete an in-person certification process with recertification every six months. A photo ID, proof of address, proof of income and monthly living expenses for the past 30 days, and health insurance card (if applicable) are required for certification. Expenses must equal or exceed income.

The Charitable Pharmacy locations are:

  • Neyer Outreach Center (1146 Bank Street) in the West End
    • Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and Saturday (medication pick-up only) 8:00 a.m. to noon.
  • Western Hills Thrift Store (3015 Glenhills Way)
    • Hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Saturdays (medication pick-up only) from 1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

 

HEALTH SERVICES

Eye Exams and Glasses: The Cincinnati Eye Institute Foundation Vision Clinic provides free eye exams to neighbors without insurance on the first and third Thursdays of the month, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Those needing glasses receive a voucher. Appointments can be made by calling 513-569-3722; walk-ins are also accepted based on availability.

 

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Ohio State ID: Proof of address is required.  Limit two per household.

Birth Certificates: Birth certificates may be requested anytime we are open for services. Your birth certificate will be mailed to you within three weeks. There is a maximum of two certificates per household per lifetime. A limited number of certificates are available each month.

Bus Passes: Bus passes are provided only for transportation to or from your place of employment, or for health care or social services appointments. An ID and proof of need (paycheck or proof of appointment) is required. Supplies are limited throughout the month.

Diapers and Feminine Hygiene Products: Through a partnership with Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, a limited number of families can receive a monthly supply of diapers. Additional products may also be available as donations allow. Call 513-562-8841, ext. 765 to sign up.

Re-Entry Program: The Re-Entry Program provides ongoing support to people affected by the criminal justice system, including returning citizens and their families. For additional information, call 513-562-8841, ext. 851.

Education Center: Computers in the Neyer Outreach Center are available to neighbors to search for jobs or housing, print documents, access medical records and more during normal service hours.
