| Thanksgiving
and Christmas programs build bridges between communities and our neighbors who
need help. St. Vincent de Pauls special Christmas programs touch more than
2,000 lives every year. The holidays can be overwhelming for families struggling
just to make ends meet. Our volunteers and staff help people in need receive food
for a family meal, gifts for their children, and comfort in their time of need.
All this is possible thanks to the kindness and support of our communities, families,
parishes, businesses, schools, organizations, and countless others who step forward
to help: - Moeller
High School students conduct a food drive each November.
- St.
X students collect food and deliver Christmas baskets to West End and Winton Hills families.
- High School students, businesses, community groups and various other organizations
adopt families for Christmas.
- Sacred Heart radio and John Morrell help with the adopt a family program.
- Kroger,
WXIX-19 and St.Vincent de Paul work together to collect more than 75,000 pounds
of food each year through the Food From the Heart Program.
- Members
of parishes work with their local St. Vincent de Paul groups to provide holiday
food and gifts to thousands of people in need.
