| St. Vincent de
Paul relies on school and community food drives, businesses, and private individuals
to help supply the food needed to keep families from going hungry. The all-volunteer
Bank Street Food Pantry, in the West End just off I-75, provides grocery supplements
to more than 500 families monthly. Rather than providing a cooked meal, the pantry
gives patrons the items needed to prepare and serve meals in their own homes.
Other food pantries in East Price Hill, Mt. Airy, College Hill and other communities
serve additional households throughout Greater Cincinnati. Special collections
and food drives help stock all area St. Vincent de Paul pantries. Volunteers gather
supplies, sort them, and distribute them to pantry clients each week. To reach
the Bank Street Food Pantry call (513) 562-8841 or email us at info@svdpcincinnati.org.
- "I think we are accomplishing something here. We let people
live just a little bit better."
