Donating Cars, Boats and Recreational Vehicles Donating a car, truck, boat or recreational vehicle to St. Vincent de Paul is easy, supports programs to help people in need, and may offer a tax deduction for you. St. Vincent de Paul sells donated vehicles through a streamlined process that eliminates overhead and ensures the maximum amount possible goes toward St. Vincent de Paul's mission. Proceeds from the Car Donation Program provide a variety of person-to-person services to the city's poor and needy, including food, clothing, housing assistance and job readiness. You will be given a receipt when we pick up your vehicle or when you deliver it to one of our locations (see below) and appropriate tax forms upon sale of the vehicle. Benefits of Donating a Car • You may qualify for a tax benefit. • Eliminate the hassle and expense of selling your car, boat or RV. Donating is much easier than repairing, advertising and selling your used vehicle. We'll take care of all the details and will pick up your vehicle. • Donate to a worthy cause and help the Society of St. Vincent de Paul care for those in need, regardless of creed or background. • Save the cost of maintaining a vehicle you don't use or the cost of selling a vehicle you no longer need. |
