Homelessness Prevention

St. Vincent de Paul's help is diverse and far-reaching, but it begins in prevention. For those living paycheck to paycheck an unexpected expense such as a car repair or a child's medical bill can set the whole household over budget.  Often a small investment to help with a rent or utility bill will save a family from eviction.

St. Vincent de Paul's West End Outreach Center works with 57 conferences (or neighborhood volunteer groups), and the Winton Hills Outreach Center to prevent homelessness throughout Greater Cincinnati.  Those in need meet personally with our staff or volunteers to alleviate the initial need and work towards long-term solutions through budget counseling, our financial literacy program, job readiness program and other resources.

For those seeking help with rent or utility bills, please fill out an online application by clicking here, or call (513) 421-0602 for more information.
