We are blessed to have Ralph Middlecamp, one of the Society's foremost Ozanam scholars, join us to lead the retreat, titled "Following Blessed Frederic Ozanam into the Vineyard."
Frederic Ozanam provides a model of what it means to have a vocation as a layperson in the Church. Many of his writings and actions would foreshadow the Encyclical of John Paul II in 1988 on the role of the laity entitled “The Lay Members of Christ’s Faithful People.” In this 200th year of his birth we have an opportunity to understand more deeply not only his role in founding the Society of St. Vincent de Paul but also his prophetic vision for all of the Church.
All Vincentians, family, and friends are welcome to this morning of prayer and reflection.
Special two-evening session!
Monday, April 22nd, and Monday, April 29th (Please plan to attend both nights.)
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm (dinner served)
Nativity Parish in Pleasant Ridge
5935 Pandora Ave., 45213
The Ozanam Orientation is a foundational workshop that covers the essential elements of what it means to be a Vincentian. This excellent way to deepen your connection to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is highly encouraged for all members, especially new Vincentians. It is offered quarterly by the District Council office.
Please RSVP by April 15th. Contact Steve at email@example.com or 513-562-8841 x767.
