Thrift Stores

Whether you are shopping or donating, you are giving.

"When I first moved to Norwood eight years ago with my four children, we didn't have anything. The St. Vincent de Paul Conference at Holy Trinity gave us vouchers to shop for clothes. Then our vouchers helped us with furniture. Once in a while I still need help. My kids always get excited about going shopping and picking out clothes when we go to the St. Vincent de Paul store."

Seven thrift store and donation center locations across Cincinnati provide quality used furniture, household items and clothing. During visits to the homes of people in need who have contacted us for assistance, our volunteers often find families who lack the most basic items — pans to cook with, clothing for school or work, a bed. These families are given vouchers to "purchase" furniture, clothing and household items from our stores at no charge.

Visit here for information on locations and hours.

Other customers may be elderly people on fixed incomes or low- income families who can't afford to shop at full-priced stores. St. Vincent de Paul stores help them care for themselves in a way that preserves their dignity by providing affordable goods in clean and well-lit environments.

Even bargain hunters who find unique, rare or antique items at our thrift stores support our mission since all proceeds are channeled back into our programs such as our food pantries, Charitable Pharmacy or rental and utility assistance programs to prevent homelessness.

Interested in donating? Here's a list of items to donate. Also, for larger items, please call 513-421-CARE (2273) to schedule a free pick-up.
