Michael and Nancy's Story

This year Michael and Nancy celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary and a life together that has been filled with both good and challenging times. “I love her more every day,” said Michael who has been caring for Nancy since she became ill.

They couldn’t afford all of her prescriptions, though, and Nancy went months without medication, loosing much of her eyesight to diabetes and other health complications. With a meager income and no health insurance, Michael didn’t know what to do. “It’s been really rough,” said Michael. “I just pray to the Lord.”

Then he learned about the St. Vincent de Paul Charitable Pharmacy, where all of Nancy’s prescriptions were filled for free. “It’s from God,” said Michael. “It’s a blessing. Without it, we wouldn’t make it.”
