Connie and Lannie's Story

Connie and Lannie worked all their lives to provide for their three children. And they always found a way to make ends meet, until Lannie was laid off from his job.

The family's health insurance ended with the job, and they couldn't afford medication Lannie needed for his heart condition. Connie worked as much as she could as a caregiver at a nursing home, but it was still not enough to pay for living expenses and Lannie's medication.

Just as his last prescription was running out, Connie heard about the St. Vincent de Paul Charitable Pharmacy. "We never had to ask for help before," said Connie. "As our last resort, we had to ask for help."

When Connie and Lannie came to see if they qualified for the Charitable Pharmacy, they were able to get Lannie’s medication the same day. "If it wasn't for the pharmacy I don't know what we would have done," said Connie. "We trust in God, he is an on-time God."
